Job Description

This position is for a Systems Administrator in Boulder, CO. You will be working closely with a talented team to manage, secure and optimize the IT infrastructure for our DoD clients. You will also have the opportunity to grow and sharpen your skills with other talented members of Centil.

Salary Information

The annual base salary range for this position is $115,000 - $163,000. Please note that the salary range is a general guideline only. The many factors that are included for consideration include, but are not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education, training, certifications, key skills, and mission/customer intimacy. These factors are combined with market and business considerations to extend a job offer.

Requirements

As a Sys Admin at Centil, your expertise and commitment to excellence will be vital in maintaining the reliability and performance of critical systems that support the nation's defense.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls.
  • Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software within the NextGen OPIR Ground Solution.
  • Monitors and corrects system performance issues.
  • Shepherds development activities through the life cycle process by applying appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools.
  • Corrects program errors, recommends program improvements, prepares operating procedures/instructions and compiles documentation of program development.
  • Provide Linux, RHEL system administration support. Participate in software version testing and evaluation and provide feedback to the development and test/ops community. Assist Configuration Management in software upgrades and changes.

Required qualifications:

  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud services (AWS, Azure).
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems and network administration.
  • DoD Secret clearance minimum
  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, preferably in supporting DoD or government customers.
  • Understanding of networking protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
  • B.S. in Computer Science or related technical field (or equivalent training/job experience is also acceptable)
  • Familiarity with DoD security regulations and frameworks, such as RMF (Risk Management Framework).

Preferred/Bonus skills:

  • Security certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
