We have a new opportunity to join our growing and dynamic Bruker IT team in Santa Barbara, CA Systems Administrator.

Responsibilities

• Administration of Microsoft Active Directory, File servers, group policy, DFS, DHCP, and DNS
• Assist in managing cloud services such as Azure and Microsoft 365
• Management of Cisco network LAN and Wireless equipment configurations
• Work as part of a team to monitor, maintain and improve all Azure managed storage, networking, VMs, databases, apps etc.
• Expand documentation on existing systems and create new documentation when needed
• Troubleshooting of Server and Network issues
• Perform other duties as required
• Perform some IT helpdesk duties as required (Tier 1 and 2 support escalations)

Qualifications

• Able to work independently and with little oversight
• Proven ability to follow safety standards, practices, and codes.
• Strong emphasis on Windows security and best practices
• Able to create and manage Group Policy in an organized, logical, and scalable manner
• Adept at creating network diagrams
• Solid experience with VMware including administration and configuration
• Familiarity with Cisco LAN, Meraki, Dell and Synology products
• Constantly thinks about security and scalability
• Ability to satisfactorily complete position training requirements
• Helpdesk
• Operational knowledge of Azure AD and Microsoft 365
• Comfortable with CLI administration of Cisco network infrastructure
• May be required to pass security clearance investigation.
• Experience configuring Dell PowerEdge Servers and Dell EMC Storage solutions
• Minimum 5-7 years related professional work experience in a Systems Administrator role
• Experience working in Azure IAAS environments required
• Ticketing system triage and management
• Strong Network Administration skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., transport equipment and tools in excess of 200 lbs.
• Familiar with DHCP, Print Server and DNS administration
• VIP support – white glove treatment
• Bachelor Degree in related field with Computer Science or Industry certifications
• Support of Video conferencing solutions (MS Teams rooms)
• Strong communication skills and desire to learn quickly
• Network Administration
• Computer deployment and upgrades using SCCM
• Azure Certification a plus
• Skilled at managing Active Directory infrastructure
• Functional experience with Azure services: Storage Accounts, File Sync, Firewalls, VNets and Private Endpoints, etc.
• Travel as required (valid Driver’s license)
• This position requires reasonable dexterity to perform manual functions in confined spaces.
• Experience with Veeam, Lansweeper a plus
• U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
• Experience supporting O365 corporate user environment
• In depth knowledge of managing File Servers and DFS
• Excellent organization and documentation skills

• Working knowledge of Powershell scripting required

• Experienced in managing VLANs and Meraki Wireless Networks

• Maintain a valid passport with flexibility for domestic and international travel.

• Server room facility work (ability to work in tight spaces and lift 40lbs)
• This position requires lifting heavy objects and maneuvering bulky items
• Valid Driver License in good standing, issued by resident state required.

At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $92,810 and $129,500 and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on a several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position. Full-time employees may also be eligible for a performance-related incentive in addition to a full range of benefits including 401(k) with company match, an employee stock purchase plan, medical and dental plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, employee assistance program and paid time off including vacation, sick time and holidays, and more.
