SWE Intern Role

A SWE intern is an essential part of Blue Pond Capital. BluePond Capital is seeking highly motivated and talented interns to join our data science and engineering team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge language models and contribute to the development and enhancement of our AI applications for the insurance industry. Your work will focus on use cases for commercial insurance underwriting, distribution and claims, collaborating with industry leaders in the field.

Responsibilities

• Monitor quality and performance of the website through testing and maintenance
• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for our products, ensuring thorough coverage of all features and functionality.
• Review pull requests from other backend developers
• Develop upgrades for existing applications
• Implement machine learning training method solutions
• Document all work for future reference

Requirements

• Knowledge of machine learning technologies and NLP.
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with scripting languages, such as Python, JavaScript, or Ruby.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote, fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
