Job Description

Summary:

Aker is looking for a Senior Vice President with a track record executing value-add multifamily business plans, maximizing yield-on-cost. Someone who is detail oriented, a strong communicator, and a great leader will thrive in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Problem solve when there are inefficiencies or onsite emergencies
  • Expense optimization through portfolio trend analysis, benchmarking, and sustainability measures
  • Identify and negotiate cost savings opportunities and expedite operational enhancements across Aker’s multifamily portfolio
  • Oversee third-party property management recruitment, training, compensation, and development programs
  • Lead property management transitions during new acquisitions
  • Uphold PMA compliance and drive third-party accountability
  • Optimize revenue strategy, maximize collections, oversee maintenance turn standards, and minimize ongoing expenses
  • Lead resident communication plan and ensure follow-through at the site level
  • Maintain cohesion across development and operations through renovations
  • Responsible for prioritizing and driving follow-through of NOI objectives

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of value-add multifamily asset or property management experience
  • Lean management experience a plus
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented individual with a high level of initiative
  • Strong proficiency with Excel, Yardi, and Real Page
  • Strong leadership and communication skillset
