The Personal Financial Solutions Leader will be responsible for developing and implementing a compelling vision and growth strategy for the Personal Financial Solutions business with a focus on accelerated organic revenue growth and creating a differentiated advice platform to serve a diverse range of retail and private clients. This position must provide inspirational leadership and a strategic vision to shape a competitive market position and differentiate itself on customer experience and technology. The position will also lead the expansion of its Private Client Group as well as build infrastructure and processes to drive organic growth of its core retail customer base. This leader must create strong partnership across American Century and find opportunities to expand through collaboration with other business lines.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Partnership – develop and maintain effective partnerships with key collaborators and adjacent businesses.
  • Leadership – Bring inspirational leadership and strategic vision including ability to recruit and develop best-in-class talent. Establish goals that align with critical initiatives and create a culture that embraces change and independence as a stand-alone advice business.
  • Business Strategy – develop and implement a differentiated business strategy that competes on American Century’s strong client service culture, impact story, technology, and customer experience.
  • Sales Process & Discipline – drive a client acquisition and retention strategy that is focused and efficient. Optimize retention and build on existing relationships to grow assets. Expand the firm’s Private Client Group. Pursue data-driven initiatives to acquire new clients.
Leadership Skills & Technical Experience:
  • Inspirational and thoughtful leadership profile who can develop and implement a strategic vision, create followership, and influence change in a collaborative way.
  • Gravitas, professional and executive skills to effectively serve as a champion, spokesperson, and advocate for American Century Investments across the broader enterprise; influence multiple partner groups and develop internal focus and awareness towards key initiatives.
  • Experience delivering an advice offering and furthering a financial planning culture.
  • Demonstrated track record of leadership and accomplishment in wealth management, specifically a leading advice platform.
  • Proven experience implementing a business strategy that led to competitive differentiation, thoughtful growth and the attraction and retention of top talent.
  • Excellent business and financial competence with strong academic credentials.
  • Proven track record of success facilitating progressive organizational change and development within a growing organization.
  • Strong General Management capabilities with ability to lead a large and diverse team across sales, service, marketing, product, technology, financial planning/advice, and operations.

Education:
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
