Survey Research Analyst Jobs

Job Summary

The Department of Ag Economics is seeking a Survey Research Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for achieving research objectives through the administration, analysis, and dissemination of surveys, coordinating the administration, analysis, and dissemination of surveys related to food, agriculture, and sustainability as well as manage research products which are often difficult and complex. This role will work with faculty, staff, and external clients to determine survey objectives and methods, work with external providers to acquire survey samples and obtain IRB and Human Subjects approval for data collection efforts. Additionally, you will analyze collected survey data using appropriate statistical methods, communicate results of data analysis in visually appealing manner appropriate for broad audiences and write reports of survey results, including documentation of methods.

This position has the flexibility to be onsite, hybrid or remote. Determination can be made between supervisor and successful candidate.

What We're Looking For:

• Strong written and communication skills
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered (Bachelor's + 4 years of related experience)
• Ability to work independently, handle responsibilities in a timely manner with very little direct supervision
• Knowledge of statistical analysis software (e.g., python, R, Stata, SAS)
• Master’s degree in economics, agricultural economics, communications, marketing, or related field
• 2 years of experience developing, administering, and analyzing survey results
• Knowledge and proficiency in computer systems and Microsoft Office software
• Strong organizational skills and project management skills

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of discrete choice econometric models
• Knowledge and experience with Qualtrics
• Knowledge of project management, marketing, market demand analysis
• A desire to learn and understand Microsoft Power Platforms (e.g., Power BI)
• Prior experience in food and agricultural industries
