We are looking for new talent to join Adelphi Research. We conduct market research, both qualitative and quantitative, and are exclusive to the pharmaceutical space. Through our work, we help provide insights that bring several new drugs to market to fundamentally impact the lives of patients living with a myriad of conditions, including oncology, neuroscience, immunology, diabetes and others. Title:
Associate Statistician/Data Scientist

Overall description of role: Working as part of the Advanced Analytics team using a wide range of statistical techniques to analyze, interpret, and visualize results into business recommendations for clients. We value sound analysis, creativity, forward thinking, and team cohesion. We are looking for someone to elevate our visualization offerings by incorporating them into user-friendly web-based applications

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop understanding of the advanced analytics team, the different roles and the business processes adhered to
  • Complete analysis as requested by research teams
  • Awareness of the way analytical outputs are presented to clients and suggest improvements to aid client understanding
  • Input into project design elements for statistical analysis
  • Plan and manage own resource levels in co-ordination with data services and research teams
  • Develop user-friendly interactive tools/applications for project teams or professionally polished for client presentations, with a focus on appropriate outputs to aid in communicating insights

Essential Skills
  • Ability to work to tight client-driven deadlines
  • Experience with data manipulation, wrangling, and significance testing
  • Basic/intermediate use of building web-based applications for showcasing data visualization (e.g., Rshiny)
  • Excellent ability to understand and work with numbers (rather than “highly numerate”)
  • Collaborating with colleagues with little to no experience with statistical analyses
  • 2-4 years of experience with coding, data management, research
  • BA/BS in relevant field (Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science); master’s an advantage

Desirable Skills
  • Experience with multivariate statistics (regression, conjoint and discrete choice methods and segmentation)
  • Experience with hierarchical models, Bayesian approaches, and Monte Carlo methods
  • Excel, model building in Excel, and VBA programming
  • Familiarity to machine-learning methods a plus
  • Experience wire-framing a plus
  • Broad knowledge of statistical techniques
  • Knowledge and advanced use of at least one of the following tools: Sawtooth CBC/HB, Stata, SAS, SPSS, Python

The range below represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of an Omnicom Health Group company in the United States. Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience, training, associated responsibilities, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.
  • $80,000 - $95,000
