Support Application Analyst Jobs

Business Overview:

Within the IT department of an international bank, which is in charge of providing other departments with Information System support, you will work on providing 2nd level Application Support for a wide range of applications within a global context.

Responsibilities:

• Following escalation procedures for incident and problem management.
• Create and maintain current documentation for supported applications
• Sharing knowledge within the team to ensure 24/6 global support.
• Colllaborating with IT partners for issue resolution and improvement
• Demonstrating effective customer service skills in communication
• End to end management of specific projects
• Working with internal clients on improving processes and making applications reliable.
• Some out of hours telephone support may be necessary
• Creating and management issus and incident tickets
• Liaising with other branches in EMEA/NA/APAC to improve collaboration
• Troubleshooting and Resolving application issues

• Exposure to the "Follow the Sun" approach in a global context.
• Proactive and results-driven, setting high performance standards.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience within an application support role
• Experience of working in the financial markets
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills..
• Collaborative and cooperative across teams.
• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• Commitment to delivering solid client service.
• Experience working with a high pressure environment

Technical skills:

• Exposure to the "Follow the Sun" approach in a global context.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, Linux, and Cloud technologies (essential), with Java as a plus.
• Understanding of clearing systems and market technology.
• Familiarity with APIs, microservices, and Azure managed services (e.g., AKS, PostGres, KeyVault).
• Familiarity with Cloud Technologies (ELK stack, Docker, Kubernetes), with a preference for Azure
• Competence in Windows/Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Shell, Python, Java, SQL, PL SQL.
