The National Supply Chain Manager plays a pivotal role in streamlining and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain operations of the company. Their primary responsibility is to coordinate and oversee all activities related to the identification, acquisition, production, and distribution of goods. By effectively managing these processes, they ensure the smooth flow of products from vendors and suppliers to customers while maintaining high-quality standards.

Summary of Responsibilities

· Responsible for developing supply chain strategies to support operational and business goals and mitigate risks and disruptions within the supply chain, due to natural disasters, geopolitical issues, or changes in regulations.

· Continuously monitor and analyze the performance of supply chain operations, identifying areas for improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancement.

· Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain.

· Prepare supply plans aligning with strategic decisions made via Sales and Operational planning processes as well as execution of those strategic planning initiatives.

· Implement inventory control mechanisms to optimize stock levels, minimize excess or obsolete inventory, and maximize inventory turnover.

· Anticipate, identify and address potential operational issues or bottlenecks that may arise along the supply chain, and promptly work to resolve them in collaboration with vendors, suppliers, and other relevant parties.

· Develops and maintains detailed inventories of materials and supplies located in the company, and at commercial kitchen sites throughout the country.

· Maintains required quantity of supplies and materials based on forecast and production schedules to optimize production.

· Analyzes current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company.

· Develops policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implements subsequent changes to processes.

· Identifies optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to consolidation of warehousing and distribution.

· Assesses the need for material-handling equipment and staffing; makes recommendations to ensure efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials.

· Serve as a highly motivated leader and quick thinker that possesses the ability to interact with a host of different personalities.

· Negotiates prices and purchasing for raw material including packaging and delivery with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies.

· Acts as part of the team coordinating product development, line extensions, or new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiate contracts, monitor performance and ensure adherence to quality standards and delivery schedules.

· Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the performance of supply chain operations, providing regular reports, statistics and recommendations to senior management.

· Drive continuous improvement initiatives by implementing best practices, adopting new technologies, and optimizing processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

· Effectively model and promote the company values.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Curious and quick learner with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, maintain focus, and adapt to a variety of challenges.

· Exceptionally detail oriented and organized to ensure processes, procedures and communications are accurate and timely in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

· Thorough understanding of company products and logistics.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.

· Intermediate-Advanced knowledge of Excel for data analysis, demand forecasting and other crucial tasks.

· Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Experience with Asana is a plus.

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, or equivalent experience.

· 4+ years of multi-state supply chain logistics management experience

· Hands on experience with ERP/MRP software

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
