markets. From export/import preparation and warehousing to product line consolidation and national distribution, we are a preferred source for supplying authentic Hispanic commodities and exclusive nostalgic brands.
The Supply Chain Director directs the company’s overall global supply chain management and builds the processes which guarantee the efficient movement and storage of our products from point of origin to point of consumption. Additionally, this person should maintain a close relationship with vendors and distributors across the industry. This position reports directly to the CEO and oversees procurement, warehouses, inventory management, and logistics planning.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Define and implement comprehensive strategies for all aspects of the
company’s global supply chain to reduce costs, mitigate risk, improve quality,
shorten lead times, and reduce inventories.
• Provide exceptional leadership to the Supply Chain teams.
• Train and develop personnel, give direction, leverage global capabilities, and
hold team members accountable.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Operations to improve product
lifecycle management, developing initiatives to introduce products on time, on
budget, and in stock.
• Challenge existing suppliers to upgrade their capabilities. Seek out future
potential supply partners who can help our organization advance to the next
level. Negotiate supply agreements with all global vendors.
• Continuously develop supply chain productivity and operational processes.
Implement industry best practices for forecasting, sourcing, risk mitigation,
inventory, and vendor management.
• Develop supply chain effectiveness metrics for the team, measuring
performance through agreed upon KPIs. Regularly reports on supply chain
performance.
• Direct global supply chain functions through strategy, resource optimization,
profitability maximization, and KPIs resulting in the maximization of customer
satisfaction.
• Analyze inventory to predict future demand and any complications that could
arise.
• Plan, manage, and coordinate all activities related to the sourcing and
procurement of necessary supplies needed to meet the changing levels of
product demand.
• Work with our commercial partners (brands), outside warehouses (3PL), and
logistics departments to determine and set up intercompany transfers to ensure
correct inventory levels and rotation.
• Work directly with sales department to determine most cost-effective
distribution solution for our customers.
• Work with freight forwards and transportation companies to set best route and
rate (review and approve all freight terms and agreements).
• Collaborates with procurement department to determine best practice for
freight in and freight consolidation.
• Supports proper utilization of ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics).

QUALIFICATIONS
• BA in Supply Chain/Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. MA/MS
would be an asset.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or warehouse
management preferable within the CPG industry.
• At least 5 years holding a management or directive role required.
• Spanish fluency it’s a must.
• Experience negotiating with vendors, external warehouses, and transportation
companies.
