West Hills, CA (Hybrid 3 days onsite/2 days remote)
The Supplier Quality Specialist will support the supplier quality organization and its programs. Ensuring our suppliers and vendors comply with relevant cGMP's, regulations, and company procedures/policies. The role will create and manage agile and risk-based processes and inspection programs that can effectively support a diverse global supply chain. The Supplier Quality Specialist will build relationships with our vendors and suppliers and collaborate on mitigation to deliver quality. The role will report Supplier Quality Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Critical contributions this role is counted on to deliver include:
  • Evaluating quality events, assessing risk, and collaborating with vendors and suppliers to improve performance.
  • Collaborating with internal partners to qualify and on-board new vendors and/or service providers.
  • Developing and managing a risk-based audit schedule, including prioritization, to support strategic initiatives.
  • Ensuring the compliance of domestic and foreign vendors against applicable laws and regulations.
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a supplier quality organization within a diverse and global supply-chain. An individual that can model and develops an organization that practices relationship-based and risk-based supplier quality. This individual must be agile and manage change support for a company that is rapidly innovating.
Critical Success Factors
You'll be most successful in this role if you have:
  • Ability to be agile in a rapidly innovating environment, including adapting to and managing change.
  • Ability to work with multiple organizations in a collaborative manner.
  • Ability to successfully work on multiple tasks and successfully complete those tasks in the allotted time with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical topics, verbally and in written, to a diverse audience.
  • An understanding of how to effectively assess compliance to the applicable laboratory, technical and manufacturing best-practices, and regulations.
  • Ability to interpret, understand, and effectively communicate regulations to a diverse audience.
Capabilities & Skills Required
To take on these challenges, you'll need to have:
  • Ability to travel (domestically and internationally) and conduct GMP audits 5% - 25% of the time.
  • Quality Society (ASQ) certification in auditing, GMP compliance or other quality related discipline is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) applicable to the dietary supplements, pharmaceutical, and/or equivalent GMP related industry is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology or related science is required.
  • Two years of Quality experience in dietary supplements, pharmaceutical, and/or other similarly regulated GMP industries required.

Annual Pay
Annual Pay Range
$89,100.00 - $133,600.00
This represents the minimum and maximum base salary range for this role, plus annual incentive. Various elements are used to determine a candidate’s starting salary such as job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in the role.
