A Day in the Life

As the Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer , you will:

• Work in partnership with other functions on supplier transfers or cost savings initiatives, to deliver quality parts, materials, and services, prevent defects, and allow Medtronic to provide customers with the highest quality and reliable products
• Root cause investigation and Supplier CAPA management
• Collaborate with multiple functions to develop and deliver the Product Acceptance Sampling Strategy, Approved Supplier List coordination, Supplier Owned Quality deployment, and Control Plans for new products
• Qualify suppliers according to company standards and may administer a Certified Supplier Program in receiving inspection to ensure cost effectiveness
• Provide technical guidance and quality compliance for Supplier Quality engagement throughout the product lifecycle and implementing strategies for driving product quality and continuous improvement, ensuring purchased products and components are manufactured and qualified in accordance to applicable industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer requirements
• Evaluate suppliers' internal functions to assess their overall performance and provides feedback in assessment of their operation
• Develop and prioritize an auditing schedule to ensure that designated suppliers are audited on a regular basis to ensure good manufacturing practices (GMP) and quality standards are met
• Monitor parts from acquisition through the manufacturing cycle and communicates and resolve supplier-related problems as they occur
• Support Released Product Management (RPM) projects to ensure that suppliers deliver quality parts, materials, and services
• Define Receiving Inspection requirements as required and associated test method validation for all internal Medtronic Test Methods

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, please ensure the following is evident on your resume:

• Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years of Supplier Quality Engineering experience OR advanced degree and 2+ years of experience

Nice to Have

• Problem solving skills
• ASQ CSQP and/or CQE certification
• Experience working in an FDA regulated manufacturing environment
• Strong experience working across an organization using written and verbal skills to communicate and understand cross functional teams, interactions and responsibilities
• Experience in fast paced environment
