Supplier Management Project Lead

Our Fortune 500 HVAC Manufacturing client is seeking a Project Lead to join the team on a fully remote basis.

Title: Materials/Supplier Management Project Leader

Location: Fully Remote

Bill rate: $30-50/hr DOE

Duration: 6-month contract (potential for extensions)

Why Open: New position – supply chain team needs support

Must Haves:

• Strong experience working with materials suppliers

--Supplier escalations

--Holding communication with suppliers

• Experience creating Lines of Balances
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

--V-lookups

--Pivot tables

• Background in manufacturing/working for a manufacturing company

Day to Day:

These candidates will sit remotely to support our client’s supply chain team with their vendor projects/initiatives. As a manufacturing company, the vendors they are working with are all materials focused (could be electronics, copper, steel, etc.). Each day they will get a list of suppliers from the team that they need to be focused on and prioritize that suppliers’ order.

Responsibilities include:

• Solving supply chain issues/escalating issues to suppliers
• Prioritizing supplier issues/orders

--Whichever suppliers are causing problems, where does this candidate need to focus their support to prioritize that order

• Setting meetings with suppliers
• Working with other supply chain individuals to create line of balances
• Issuing purchase orders
• Maintaining notes and information on suppliers, truly understanding where a supplier is and if they are currently in a healthy state
• Create shipment inventory plans
• Working heavily within Microsoft Excel

--Gathering information from our client’s system and putting into a readable Excel format
