Supervisor, Nutrition/Food Services - Dietary

The Supervisor, Nutrition/Food Services is responsible for a variety of tasks that lead to a high level of customer satisfaction in the most cost-effective manner. Supervises the functions of food production for the patients and cash operations, as well as tray preparation for patients. Spends 50% of the time supervising employees. Ensures high quality output and services, the efficient use of resources, and a safe work environment that meets all government and regulatory guidelines.

Essential Duties: • Ensures all staff consistently completes assigned work on time while meeting quality, safety, and regulatory standards. • Checks and monitors patient tray preparation and accuracy. • Handles customer service inquiries and problems in person or via telephone, recording recurring problem areas and communicating to dietitian or leadership as appropriate. • Assist FSW/Diet Aide in delivering patient meals. Audits tray accuracy. • Ensures customer satisfaction scores meet or exceed standards by doing patient surveys. • Assists with catering events PRN. • Notifies Registered Dietitian of any patient complaints and or concerns. • Maintains closing and monthly temperature logs. Organizes monthly reports. • Performs all other duties as related or assigned. Minimum Education: • High school or equivalent Minimum Experience/Knowledge: • Req High school or equivalent • Pref Associate's degree Degree in Food Management or related field. *Active involvement with professional food service organization preferred • Req 5 years Experience in various aspects of food service with increasing levels of responsibility. • Req 3 years Experience supervising in an institutional food service operation. • Pref Certified Food Handler Certificate or equivalent ServSafe Certificate. Required License/Certification: • Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only) Hourly Range: The hourly rate range for this position is $22.00 - $34.18.
