This is a great opportunity to join our Scripps Food Service team at Scripps Corporate in La Jolla supporting the café and retail customer service.
The Lead for Food and Nutrition Services provides leadership and coordination in the following Food Service operational systems:
- Complies with JCAHO, Title XXII and other regulations.
- Participates in the planning, coordination, preparation and volume production of meals for patients, cafeteria, and catering/special events and focusing on providing excellent customer service.
- Safe food handling, volume food production, menu development and modification, meal assembly and portion control, inventory management, food service equipment operations, customer service, human resources management, financial performance, infection control/sanitation and overall department function to ensure compliance.
This is a full-time benefited position supporting our Corporate Offices.
Required Qualifications:
- 1 year experience in food & nutrition services.
- Must be able to speak, read and write English
- Food Safety Manager Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in related field OR Certified Dietary Manager
- Excellent problem solving, team development, and strategic planning skills
- Experience working in a healthcare diet office
- Excellent customer service skills
- One year of leadership experience
