Job Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
As an Events Services Supervisor, you will set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create event estimates and proficiently schedule staff members according to these needs
  • Assist in the management of uniform control including the ordering and maintenance of par stock levels
  • Maintain open communication between the client, tenant, subcontractors employee, and facility guests as it relates to the the staff
  • Primary responsibilities will include training and management of part-time event staff, operating and execution of events and delivering optimal customer service
  • Maintain inventory of related equipment and prepare budgetary input regarding the use of equipment in the area
  • Respond promptly to comments, questions, suggestions, and complaints received by our Guests and communicate to the Security Manager and direct report regarding issues that may require further attention
  • Supervise the Guest Services Desk and its functions

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Basic knowledge or Proficiency of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine
  • Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills
  • Able to lead and mentor a team
  • Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
  • Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards
  • Knowledgeable with a time management system, specifically Kronos
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
  • Able to demonstrate business acumen by clarifying priorities, holding others accountable and using knowledge of current property and corporate initiatives to understand and improve business results

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school Diploma or equivalent
  • Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
  • Two (2) years of experience in an arena environment working events, concerts, game management and production

PREFERRED:

  • Experience working with large groups of people/guests
  • Experience in scheduling internal staff
  • Six (6) years of experience in an arena environment working events, concerts, game management and production
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledgeable with Kronos system
  • Experience in dealing with ticketing issues and resolutions as it relates to the guest
  • Experience working in an entertainment facility
