Overview

As the Structured Lending Analyst, will develop a good understanding of the Bank’s existing product offerings and provide financial modelling and analytical support to the Structuring desk. You will build relationships with the Sales/Coverage, Origination and Trading desks and assist with the preparation of product client pitches and production of internal desk reports, working under the guidance of Structurers. You will provide support to Senior Lending Officers in analyzing, negotiating, and executing new and renewal credit transactions for Wealth Management (WM) clients and desired prospects within the Structured Lending Group. You will also be responsible for managing and maintaining existing loans in the portfolio.

What You’ll Do

• Assist Lending Officers located in Jax and NYC in all phases of maintaining a portfolio of existing loans – including preparing annual reviews, tracking covenant requirements, analyzing collateral maintenance requirements, obtaining & analyzing financial statements and tax returns, etc
• Assist Senior Lending Officers located in Jax and NYC in all phases of preparing initial credit approvals
• Provide analytical & administrative support for other initiatives related to lending activities – as needed
• Work with various models and methodologies to perform complex and sophisticated financial & database analysis functions
• Maintain internal spreadsheets and databases as needed
• Assist Loan Service Officers in loan servicing matters

Skills You’ll Need

• Moderate banking or finance industry experience
• Ability to work with financial statements and complex tax returns. Experience with basic financial modeling
• General knowledge of credit analysis, banking regulations and related processes
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize time sensitive tasks in an efficient manner
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong aptitude to learn new concepts & models
• Drive and enthusiasm to succeed and contribute to a team environment
• Ability to work effectively without supervision and with team members in other locations
• Solid interpersonal skills and good writing skills
