Position Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated sourcing specialist to assist the company in creating strong relationships with suppliers and maintaining the existing ones. The sourcing specialist’s responsibilities include sourcing goods, materials, and services at competitive prices and advising upper-level staff members on which suppliers to contract with. You should be able to maintain and update the supplier database and find alternative suppliers if the existing ones are unable to meet their obligations. This role will help Enchanted Rock meet its growth and supplier diversification needs now and in the future.

Where You Come In

• Identify gaps in service provider coverages and material suppliers; Proactively identify, engage, and select service providers/suppliers on national and local levels.
• Collect/Create statements of work for potential contractors and product specifications for material supplies.
• Be able to work with the relevant departments to ensure that costs remain within budget.
• Requests all the regulatory and standard documents from vendors such as COI, Credit application, W-9, new vendor forms, NDA, Certifications, etc.
• Create and maintain assigned Category Plan for portion of our supply business.
• Champion new vendor setup process.
• Initiate negotiation discussions for cost-effective and service-favorable contracts.
• Maintain strategic sourcing relationships and develop strong partnerships.
• Define guidelines to evaluate and manage service providers/material suppliers.
• Review poor performing and incompliant suppliers/vendors to determine sourcing needs to provide variety in alternative sources.
• Create and manage Request for Proposals (RFP).

What it Takes to Succeed

• Written and Verbal Communication skills
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Supply Chain, or 3+ years’ experience in Supply Chain
• Track record of collaboration between internal and external partners
• Exceptional critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Microsoft Suite proficiency
• Physical requirements and working conditions: Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, strength to lift and carry files weighing up to 20 pounds; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.

• Prior experience within strategic sourcing and supplier management.
• Contract negotiation experience.
• ISNet World experience.
• Contractor onboarding and performance management.
