Job Description

Job Title: Director, Strategic Sourcing (3117346)

Location: Dallas, TX (4 days Onsite)

Job Type: Permanent Job


Skills:

·Ability to develop and execute against a sourcing strategy for capital equipment and services in line with Tenet Supply Chain’s strategic vision of sourcing the best quality products at the best price, treating customers with service orientation, and focusing on supply chain excellence internally.

·Ability to identify and execute opportunities (e.g., OpEx Reduction/Neutralization, CapEx Cost Avoidance).

·Advanced contract drafting, negotiation and management skills for both GPO and local contracts as well as managing the RFP process.

·Ability to devise sourcing/contracting strategies for capital equipment and services and make data-driven decisions (e.g., by referencing benchmarking, industry/market analysis, total cost of ownership reviews and spend analysis).

·Ability to develop and maintain strong vendor relationships.

·Exceptional relationship-building, interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.

·Track record of identifying and implementing cost reduction and quality improvement initiatives/projects across capital equipment & service.

·Ability to create strategic business plans for various contract categories and clearly communicate ideas to senior leadership for input and support.

·Understanding of contract management and contract risks/gaps in the healthcare provider industry as well as understanding of how to coordinate with legal.

·Ability to conduct demand planning and forecasting.

·Ability to lead asset mapping and management

Responsibilities:

·Identify, support and direct Supply Expense Reduction Initiatives.

·Directs and maintains all supply chain analysis, metrics and initiative savings tracking.

·Direct and oversee a contract management process.

·Lead and manage all savings initiatives, conversions, and implementations in all hospital facilities.

·Manage GPO Programs

·Manage Vendor Relations

Qualifications:

·A Bachelor’s degree in any health or business area is required.

·A Master’s degree in any health or business-related area is preferred.

·Sourcing and contracting experience in Capital Equipment & Services is preferred.

·At least 5-7 years of relevant and proven work experience in Healthcare, Finance, or Supply Chain.

·The role requires a deep understanding of Supply Chain functions, including, but not limited to, knowledge of GPO and local contract sourcing as well as related procedures pertaining to contracting strategies and contract management across departments.

·Knowledge of strategic sourcing including analyzing spend, benchmarking, reviewing industry best practices and achieving cost reduction whilst maintaining or improving quality.
