Director Of Strategic Sourcing

Job Summary: The Director of Strategic Sourcing will lead strategic sourcing activities, including, but not limited to, primary areas such as identification products and capabilities, layering contract coverage and contract negotiations, supply assurance and supplier relationship management, cost optimization and value creation, and financial and budgeting. The role will work and collaborate cross-functionally on prioritization of initiatives in support of business objectives and continuously seek opportunities to maximize the total value delivered.
Job Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic guidance and support to cross-functional teams on procurement processes, supplier selection, and contract negotiations.
• Develop and manage the strategic sourcing budget, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
• Lead supplier development programs to drive collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Develop and implement supplier scorecards and performance metrics to ensure accountability and optimize supplier relationships. Work to assess and qualify secondary Suppliers.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including production, R&D, QA, finance, production, and sales, to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.
• Evaluate and assess supplier performance, ensuring adherence to quality standards, delivery schedules, and pricing commitments.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable contracts and terms of agreement.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings, quality improvement, and operational efficiencies through strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic sourcing strategy aligned with Syzygy's business goals and growth objectives.
• Develop and implement cost optimization strategies without compromising quality and service levels. Conduct comprehensive cost analyses, including total cost of ownership (TCO) evaluations, to identify areas for cost reduction.

Minimum requirements:

• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; strong verbal and written communication skills; good interpersonal skills; strong multi-tasking, problem solving, and time management skills; self-starter; demonstrated leadership skills; high attention to detail
• 5+ years in business planning in Chemicals, or Industrial Manufacturing and distribution
• Master’s in business management and or Engineering degree with 10 years of experience
• Experience working with R&D early-stage projects and developing strategic sourcing agreements with critical sources and developing supply chain strategies to develop alternative sources of critical products.
