SupportNinja is seeking a Strategic Finance Director to join our team! The Strategic Finance Director is responsible for bringing together all the financial information to tell the story and is intimately involved in the business decision making process. This position will provide strategic guidance, financial insights, and actionable recommendations to senior leadership, while overseeing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis activities.

What does a day in the life as a Strategic Finance Director look like?

• Collaborates with other departments as needed to resolve customer issues
• Shape, structure, and maintain the financial IT systems and applications and their linkage and dependency on the broader IT landscape of the company
• Develop and execute the organization’s financial strategy in alignment with organizational goals and objectives
• Build and scale models giving structure to data, assess historical trends, and design drivers to accurately support business decisions
• Meets or exceeds performance targets for related KPI’s
• Partner with key stakeholders across the organization, including within Finance and Accounting, Sales and Operations, Marketing and support departments, to provide narrative insights on current and expected future performance
• Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement financial models and scenarios to drive business performance
• Identify and assess financial risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, and monitor risk exposure and collaborate with other departments to implement effective risk management practices and controls
• Work closely with the Global Finance and Accounting team to ensure deliverables are provided accurately and on time allowing for accurate and timely consolidation results for leadership, board of directors and investors
• Maintains a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers and colleagues at all times
• Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual budgeting and long-term financial planning processes, considering market trends and business dynamics
• Lead the forecasting process to provide accurate and timely financial projections for short-term and long-term planning
• Continuously improves knowledge of products, services, and processes by participating in training programs and continuous learning modules
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Adheres to company policies and procedures
• Build and manage the corporate planning calendar, and clearly communicating timelines, deliverables, and expectations with all planning stakeholders

What are the required qualifications for a Strategic Finance Director?

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Strong technical accounting background with a thorough knowledge of US GAAP
• Proficient in using computers and various software applications
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• 6 years of experience in a finance director or similar role, preferably in a call center environment
• Strong creative problem solving and strong business acumen with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Combination of private industry and public accounting experience preferred

Having these qualifications are helpful, but not required

• Previous ERP/CPM implementation experience a plus
• Prior M&A experience a plus
