Job Description

The Store Director ensures a consistently memorable client shopping experience while generating meaningful revenue and positive operating profit for their store.


POSITION SCOPE


Sales Business Development/Performance & Client

  • Lead and develop the business of the store
  • Maximize the potential of all product categories and universes carried in the store, capitalizing on all available support (visual merchandising, training, clienteling, events, regional office team...) and fostering synergies between categories
  • In conjunction with Retail Management, establish sales and margin goals and be responsible for their achievement
  • Responsible for achieving store shrinkage goals and for the establishment and implementation of both new and existing loss prevention procedures (in conjunction with the Retail Management)

· Build a loyal Clientele, leveraging all clienteling tools

· Develop an precise understanding business and local market to suggest actions and recommendations

  • Act as an ambassador by proactively representing the Brand in relevant local activities (networking, PR)
  • Be aware of the competitive landscape and market trends.



Team Management and Development

  • Manage and motivate the team to drive the business: create a positive work environment, empower the team, encourage innovative solutions.
  • Identify, recruit and develop talents, secure succession plans
  • Lead by example on the floor, understand the Clients' needs, identify potential areas of improvement and cultivate a feel for the market trends
  • Set achievable challenging team and individual targets for the store; assess, monitor and manage performance to ensure these goals are achieved
  • Translate strategic and business goals into concrete and individual actions and objectives
  • Organize the team in an efficient manner according to business needs and delegate responsibility
  • Provide consistent and qualitative feedback, coach the team
  • Develop the team to ensure they deliver our Promise to every Client


Buying

  • Review performance indicators, such as sales and discount levels
  • Manage plans for stock levels
  • Liaising regularly with the WW, MW and Accessories Merchandising team based in Paris (Identifying items and merchandise classifications of high sales and profit potential, Communicating special requirements relating to customer needs or competition, Assuring the maintenance of appropriate and balanced inventory levels)
  • Participate in the open-to-buy process with the HQ buying team based in Paris in order to give stores the right product assortment and information to help them reach their maximum sales potential


Operations

  • Monitor store controllable expenses, supervise loss, asset protection and risk management and be accountable for inventory management.
  • Ensure policies, standards and procedures are communicated and implemented


External relations

· Maintain a leadership role in community & Attend local community events

· Networks and raises community awareness in local markets

· Directly responsible to contact local area social organizations


PROFILE

You have strong relational skills and are comfortable in building relations with internal and external client's and interact with people with different cultures and habits.

Passion for retail and luxury and at least 5 to 10 years work experience in a Store Management position
