Roles & Responsibilities:

• Adjusts major air conditioning units and/or heat depending on needs, to ensure proper temperature; checks exhaust and supply fans for proper ventilation.
• Checks electrical power supply and load of current being drawn three times during shift.
• Makes emergency repairs, mechanical and electrical to prevent or stop interruptions of utility services. Runs emergency generator as required.
• Supervises and monitors work of engineering staff during assigned watch.
• Operates, maintains and monitors the Boiler Room and auxiliary equipment, i.e. pumps, emergency generators, etc. ensuring operations and safety.

Requirements:

• Experience Requirement: 5 years related experience
• License Requirement: Stationary Engineer; Refrigeration License
• Education Requirement: High School or GED

Compensation

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $53.34 - $55.54 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
