Staff Accountant, Voyage Accounting - Hybrid Us

We’re looking for an amazing Staff Accountant- Voyage Accounting to fill this role, which is based in our Seattle, WA office. You’ll be responsible for Auditing voyage information provided by the ships. Preparing journal entries to record Onboard Revenue and Costs. Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts. Ensuring proper SOX controls are being maintained. Managing concessionaire accounts, including the preparation of monthly invoicing and reconciliations. Interact with multiple finance and operations team members across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations
• Pulling supporting documents & preparing concessionaire invoices
• Performing SOX audit controls
• Researching variances in onboard revenue/costs
• Other ad-hoc accounting/reporting
• Auditing supporting documentation and preparing Journal Entries related to Onboard Revenue, Costs, and Purser’s Cashbook transactions

Requirements

• CPA certification preferred.
• Accounting or Finance major preferred. Other majors would be considered in conjunction with equivalent experience.
• Four-year degree in Accounting preferred.
• Proficient in Excel
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Holland America is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-1B status).
• Excellent verbal & written communication
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to work well with individuals at all levels

• Base Hourly Range: $25.29 to $34.04. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
