Job Title: Staff Accountant
Reports To: Head of Finance

Job Summary
We are looking for an organized and driven Staff Accountant to join our team. The Staff Accountant position will work closely with Assistant Controllers and support other departments as required. This position will provide a broad exposure to all areas of business accounting. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to grow their career in accounting. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in accounting principles, exceptional analytical skills, and a strong attention to detail.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • New customer credit checks and following guidelines to set credit limits
  • Assist in financial close monthly preparation
  • Process Accounts Payable, including processing invoices, following up vendors and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner. Vendor maintenance and process of year end 1099's and 1096 forms.
  • Assist with ERP system implementation and documentation.
  • Assist with the monthly financial statement preparation and variance reporting.
  • Customer invoice processing
  • Process Accounts Receivable, including processing payments, producing statements of accounts, collections on overdue accounts and account reconciliation when required. Customer maintenance.
  • Create new customers/vendors along with W9 collection
  • Collaborare with cross functional teams to gather and analyze financial data for decision making purposes
  • Support Finance team with special projects and workflow process improvements.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, supporting schedules for annual audits and financial reports/support as necessary.
Job Qualifications
Preferred qualifications for the position include:
  • Effective problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • Understanding of US GAAP
  • CPA is a plus but is not required
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Hard-working; driven by a desire to add value and constantly improve oneself
  • Highly detail oriented and organized
