Sr. Technical Business Analyst

It will be a Long-Term Onsite Project at Brooklyn, NY.

Project Goals for this contract include:

• Review business needs to provide developers requirements for modifications and enhancements
• Updating new functions and processes based on business needs Client requires IT professional services to support day-to-day needs for critical business functions and objectives of the Client's application.
• Implement the standard SDLC methodology of gathering requirements to determine business requirements.
• Manage the application that allows providers to create an invoice, budget, and enrollment

 The Senior Technical Business Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Analyzing administrative and operational processes and procedures to facilitate the implementation of new systems or modifications to existing systems
• Conducting data analytics, mapping, and database analysis to define, document, prioritize, and validate business and system functional requirements
• Creating business and system functional requirement documents, as well as complex COGNOS reports, studies and other business analysis artifacts.
• Identifying business needs, developing functional requirements documents, and evaluating potential business solutions

 OUTLINE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
• Lead requirements analysis and verification, ensuring that requirement statements are complete and verifiable, and that they conform to standards.
• Serve as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team through which requirements flow.
• Interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
• Maintain a liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams.
• Work independently with users to define concepts and report out on findings to an assigned Project Manager.
• Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language.
• Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans
• Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
• Communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver functional requirements, e.g., Business Requirements Documents. Use Cases, GUI, screen layouts and interface designs.
• Utilize enterprise-wide requirements definitions and management systems and methodologies, as required.

 MANDATORY MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate must have minimally achieved the following level of experience:

• Minimum 5+ years of Experience in TFS Test Manager, QA testing, Test Plan and Test Cases.
• Minimum 5+ years of Experience working with Microsoft TFS, TFS Release Manger and Cognos
• Minimum 8+ years of Experience in Software Development Life cycle – Agile methodology.
• Minimum 8+ years of Experience working with Microsoft Office products such as MS Project, MS Access, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
• Minimum 8+ years of Experience working with planning, process analysis, and problem solving.
• 8+ years of experience writing and maintaining functional testing for enterprise level systems
• Minimum 5+ years of Experience in Microsoft SQL Server databases, SQL Reporting tools
• Minimum 8+ years of Experience in software engineering and information technology.

PREFERABLE QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science from an accredited college, at minimum
• Prior education industry/project experience
• Minimum 6 years of Financial Data Analytics
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate in a credible and confident manner at all levels in the organization especially on technical issues to a non-technical audience.
• Detailed and process oriented.
