Sr. Scientist, Lead Generation Biology

Enveda is looking for a Senior Scientist, Lead Generation Biology to join our team!

As a member of the Lead Generation team, you will report to the VP, Biology.

You get to collaborate on:

• Coordinate internal resources and manage external CRO activities to develop and implement robust assays and to ensure timely generation of high-quality in vitro and in vivo data
• Lead biology efforts for drug discovery projects, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and communicating proactively with stakeholders and management
• Contribute to and implement scientific and portfolio strategy
• Utilize your knowledge, assess internal data, and evaluate external literature and information to develop and test hypotheses to link observed biology to human disease
• Establish and validate the drug discovery critical path for targets in different therapeutic areas to enable efficient chemical optimization and project progression
• Bring creativity and innovative approaches to identify new targets and opportunities for drug discovery, assay development, screening and compound profiling, and disease validation

Who will thrive in this role?

• Demonstrated success leading drug discovery projects or initiatives, in particular experience progressing compounds from identification through characterization and into optimization
• Ph.D. in cellular or molecular biology, pharmacology, biochemistry, or a related discipline with 3+ years relevant industry experience or MS/BS with 7+ years relevant industry experience

• Experience developing biochemical and/or cellular assays in different formats is preferred
• Experience working with or managing CRO activities
• Demonstrated ability to critically evaluate scientific literature, assess and develop new opportunities for drug discovery, and generate and implement biological rationale for project progression
• Highly motivated with an ability to work independently and to succeed in a cross-functional team environment
• Experience working in biotech is preferred
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, complex data analysis and interpretation, and communication skills
• On-Site Boulder,CO or local preferred
