Responsibilities
Review and analyze reports to procure products for stores that require additional inventory.
Maintain regular communication with stores to address purchasing needs and special requests.
Collaborate with vendors to ensure product availability and place purchase orders.
Support store managers with various projects, such as early orders, product promotions, and vendor negotiations.
Proactively track forecast accuracy and communicate findings to key stakeholders.
Drive operational improvements by researching and evaluating areas of opportunity, reducing costs where possible.
Lead solution-based problem-solving and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and business performance.
Engage in negotiation and collaboration with key stakeholders for new projects, initiatives, and purchasing activities.
Create and deliver reports on projects, initiatives, and updates.
Mentor and coach Purchasing Agents to support their career and professional development.
Skills And Qualifications
Strong understanding of purchasing and inventory management principles.
Excellent analytical skills and a customer service-oriented mindset.
Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience or solid knowledge of irrigation and landscape supplies is highly desirable.
