As the Senior Legal Operations Specialist (eDiscovery/Forensic Analyst), you will report to the eDiscovery program lead and Honeywell’s Litigation Center of Excellence (CoE) to support legal hold, data preservation and collection protocols in support of litigation and anticipated litigation matters, internal and government investigations, and subpoenas. This is a hybrid office-based role located at Honeywell’s headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The eDiscovery/Forensic Analyst will assist in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and workflows related to data preservation, collection, and transfer best practices and execute this work to support the HON legal department.

This position will require a high-level of collaboration and coordination with the eDiscovery, Investigation, and in-house legal teams, outside counsel, eDiscovery providers, and internal business stakeholders such as IT and Global Security stakeholders on the maintenance and administration of forensic tools, policies, and protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration business technical teams for issue resolution and mitigation
  • Implement and manage preservation in place/legal holds in O365 by leveraging the O365 Purview Security and Compliance functionality
  • Ability to defensibly track the intake, imaging, and return of assets and evidence consistent with eDiscovery, investigation, and information security tracking and Chain of Custody (CoC) best practices
  • Leverage the necessary IT, active directory, and other mobile management systems to gain access to corporate assets for forensic/preservation imaging
  • Transfer of data using FTP to third parties including validation, reporting and tracking
  • Collaborate on the continuous evolution and development of policies, procedures, workflows and the selection of eDiscovery and forensic software/platforms and services
  • Ability to create, test and implement PowerShell and other scripts
  • Demonstrable experience with forensically imaging corporate issued devices (e.g., laptop hard drives, mobile phones)
  • Preparing monthly KPI and incident reports
  • Demonstrable experience with forensic collections tools such as EnCase, FTK, and Cellebrite


YOU MUST HAVE

  • 7+ years of litigation, eDiscovery and/or investigation experience, including data preservation, collection, scoping and review of data from a broad array of repositories and systems, including proprietary systems.
  • Forensic tool certifications preferred.
  • Significant strategic eDiscovery program development insight. Preferably from both eDiscovery provider, law firm, and in-house perspectives.

  • Must be well organized, a strong communicator, detail oriented, demonstrate good judgment, be confident working independently
