The candidate will ensure business decisions are appropriately based on accurate and reliable metrics and financial information. They'll help drive cost awareness and efficiency within the Corporate Functions operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in project based initiatives to drive operating efficiencies across finance functions
• Work closely with the eBay Corporate Controllership team to monitor compliance with GAAP
• Build presentation content for Monthly Business Review of key metrics and expense drivers
• Partnering with functional leaders, corporate FP&A, and corporate controllership to align and report monthly and quarterly spend
• Drive analysis of cost trends and articulate related cause and effect to business partners
• Finance support analyst for Corporate Functions, which includes monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and ad-hoc support
• Provide monthly reports comparing actual trends against budget and forecast assumptions by function
• Responsible for the monthly financial close, journal entries, accurate financial reporting of expenses, and the hiring plans for corporate functions
• Financial planning and reporting (strategic long term planning, gap analysis)
• Continuously find opportunities to automate and streamline processes to reduce cycle time and churn in all operations planning processes

Experience And Qualifications Required

• Ability to multi-task and manage tight timelines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• The ideal candidate will have outstanding technical skills with spreadsheets, presentations, along with proven financial analysis capabilities
• Experience with financial systems such as SAP BPC, SAP BW, etc.
• 1-3 years of finance experience with exposure to different areas (business analysis, accounting, FP&A, etc.)
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance
• Strong interpersonal skills and a proven track record to partner effectively with all functions and levels within the organization
• Passionate about business and the related performance
• Ability to perform in a matrix organization with multiple partners with a high degree of complexity and ambiguity
• Ability to present and impact decision making at all levels of the organization

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York City is expected in the range below.

$88,000 - $137,500

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
