We are searching for the best talent for Sr. Director Ops Complexity Reduction, TECA (Trauma, Extremities, Craniomaxillofacial, and Animal) Supply Chain to be based in Zug, Schaffhausen, New Jersey, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, or Pennsylvania.


Purpose: Reporting to the Vice President, DPS E2E TECA and Sports Supply Chain, the Senior Director of Ops Complexity Reduction is expected to lead the business E2E Supply Chain responsible to reduce complexity within supply chain via optimizing the portfolio, flow and network to improve customer experience, agility & cost.He/she is also expected to provide a practical and intellectual understanding of the global Medical Device industry and its channels. This leader will have a strong combination of strategic vision and a willingness to be hands-on in all aspects of supply chain operations as appropriate to optimize the portfolio, flow and network.


The Senior Director of Ops Complexity Reduction will have global Supply Chain leadership responsibility across more than 11 global external manufacturing sites, 104 external manufacturers, more than 50,000 SKUs with total annual cost actions to be achieved of $15MM+ for this team.


You Will Be Responsible For


  • Responsible for flow integration of acquisitions & PFR partnerships to ensure optimum flow is established from launch.
  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
  • Responsible for TECA Reverse Logistics capability – ensuring E&O reserve release for a favorable impact in P&L.
  • Engage the workforce with a clear and compelling vision with emphasis on “one global team” focused on the customer.
  • Execute a Network Optimization strategy to optimize our manufacturing footprint (internal and external), leverage on technology, and significantly improve efficiencies. Develop and communicate an ongoing Supply Chain Plan relative to the TECA Business Strategy (at all levels) – aligned with key stakeholders and the enterprise supply chain.
  • Responsible to balance and drive continuous improvement in Cost, Customer Service & Product Quality.Ensure minimal compliance risk.
  • Partner cross functionally to establish processes to optimize the portfolio, finalize end-of-life products in an efficient manner
  • Maintain strong connection to commercial, marketing and external manufacturers (Globally and Regionally).
  • Drive Standardization & Synergy across the network with aligned best practices in LEAN and Digital Capabilities – ensure emphasis on Innovation to drive improvement.
  • Drive continuous cost improvement in Gross Profit and COGS aligned to Business Strategic Plan.
  • Responsible for managing capital and operational expenses to support growth and deliver capital efficiency.
  • Ensure processes in place to break down manufacturing and distribution flows to improve the complexity of our network, optimizing for our customer lead times while support cost improvements.
  • Understanding and aligning the strategic vision for the business and communication/deployment of Supply Chain Strategies to enable business growth.
Job Qualifications


  • Experience with the global demands of the role specifically: multi-cultural / multi country locations and applicable local labor law, healthcare regulatory requirements, tax law, and logistics.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in positions of increasing responsibility managing large, multi-site, global organizations, with end-to-end supply chain experience (manufacturing, distribution, planning, project management, procurement, engineering, distribution and / or R&D). Additionally, 10 years of People Management Experience are required.
  • This general management role requires a diverse business background (preferably with direct experience in multiple Medical Devices and Diagnostics companies) with specific Operations competencies inclusive of product innovation, planning, customer & logistics services, and manufacturing.
  • Technical Supply Chain experience in production optimization and working with vendors are required.
  • Education: Undergraduate degree in engineering, sciences or supply chain disciplines. Graduate degree/studies in science, business, engineering, finance or organizational management or equivalent experience strongly preferred.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Green Belt Certification, Black Belt / Master Black Belt Certification.
  • Understanding of financial processes such as P&L calculation and COGS.
  • Srong understanding of the new product introduction process.
  • Exposure to a global environment in previous roles leading supply chain.


For U.S. applicants, in accordance with applicable disclosure requirements, the anticipated base pay range for this position is $160,000 to $276,000. Candidates hired outside the United States will be eligible for compensation and benefits in accordance with their local market. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar / performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
