The Role

AMD is looking for a Senior Corporate Communications professional to join our Global Corporate PR team. In this role, you will develop strategies that amplify company news and initiatives while cultivating strong relationships with business press to strengthen the company’s reputation with external stakeholders and evolve the AMD brand story. You will partner with members of the AMD communications team and stakeholders across the business to build differentiated messages and results-oriented campaigns that position AMD as a leader across the diverse markets we serve – from the data center and AI to PCs and gaming.

The Person

• Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced and demanding working environment.
• Strong project management and time management skills with an ability to drive multiple projects at once while working across a variety of teams and stakeholders.
• Media-savvy, with a passion for technology and extensive experience working with media on corporate news and issues.
• Collaborative, results-focused senior member of the Corporate PR team, leading the execution of earned media and PR programs to grow the reputation and visibility of the business and AMD brand.
• Experience counseling senior executives and business leaders on corporate media best-practices.
• Ability to bring together multiple teams and resources to drive high-impact communications strategies that articulate the company’s strategic direction and momentum.
• Fluent in financial communications, corporate earnings and executive storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

• Stay current on technology trends, business and social issues, and industry news to anticipate and plan for external communications needs.
• Partner closely with internal stakeholders (including Government Relations, Executive Communications, Corporate Strategy and Product PR teams) to develop and execute media strategies supporting key news, issues and initiatives.
• Maintain strong relationships inside and outside the company, including cross-company stakeholders as well a global network of agencies.
• Able to work across time zones with global Corporate Communications teams to scale and adapt corporate storylines for global business media based on regional market trends and priorities.
• Build strong relationships with business and technology media to articulate differentiated narratives that “break-through” across competitive, high-growth markets and disruptive trends.
• Draft corporate communications materials including press releases, messaging, thought leadership blogs, presentations and more with the ability to elevate business and technical narratives for a variety of mainstream audiences.
• Play an active role in the development of corporate PR programs that bring together business, financial, and ESG initiates to elevate company thought-leadership and visibility with business and top-tier press.

Preferred

• Progressive experience in corporate communications or public relations
• In-house or agency experience working for a global technology company preferred

At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position. You may be eligible for incentives based upon your role such as either an annual bonus or sales incentive.
