This position is part of our Payments, Card and Fraud organization that is responsible for the growth, management, and risk mitigation of over $10B in annual sales both domestic and international. Millions of times a day customers interact with Starbucks payment systems across Retail and Digital platforms and customers expect to interact with those systems securely and seamlessly. Your role as Lead is to collaboratively lead and drive the overall data architecture supporting these areas and create Business Intelligence tools end to end that provide actionable insights that enable ongoing business optimization and sustainable growth.
As a Senior, Business Intelligence, you will…

• Build powerful self-serve tools to make it faster and easier for your internal customers to act on data and insights and easier on your teammates to find and fix problems quickly and efficiently
• Work with source technical teams to ensure data and reporting requirements are enabled within the source systems as required.
• Be deeply embedded in the business where the output of your efforts will immediately improve business performance

We’d Love To Hear From People With

• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to own and drive project schedule from start to finish, including alignment with peers, individuals and offshore resources.
• Proficiency in Microsoft BI platforms (SQL Server, Azure, Power BI, Analysis Services) Oracle PL/SQL experience a plus
• Experience and passion working in a collaborative environment and implementing complex BI projects with multiple stakeholders and conflicting priorities.
• Command knowledge of Agile methodology and tailoring designs and implementation to the maturity of the business
• Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with Databricks or other spark technologies
• Effectively manage project budget, leadership status report, and project intake/prioritization activities.
• A passion for learning and growing as technology continues to evolve.
• A strong grasp of SQL and at least one scripting or programming language.
• 5+ years of experience with and detailed knowledge of data warehouse technical architectures, data modeling, infrastructure components, ETL/ ELT and reporting/analytic tools and environments, data structures and hands-on SQL coding.
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively across functions/departments/teams while building trusted relationships.
• An ownership mindset for the product vision, technical architecture, and project delivery
• Strong data analytics skills with the ability to recognize if source data can satisfy customer measurement needs, and if not, work with source technology teams to implement solutions.
