We are actively seeking to identify personnel to join our team of talented professionals who possess the experience, vision, commitment, and integrity to successfully support the strategic goals of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) Office of Mission & Capability Support (MCS).


New teammates will support these efforts, as well as augment our existing team working on rapidly developing technology in response to evolving threats.


DHS S&T was established by Congress to provide innovative scientific and technical solutions to the nation's homeland security challenges. Within S&T, MCS executes Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) to transition solution approaches, technologies, and knowledge products in support of DHS Component customers including U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), U.S. Secret Service, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), Federal, State, Local Tribal and Territorial (FSLTT) first responders, and the larger Homeland Security Enterprise (HSE). MCS covers all DHS mission areas and serves 13 discrete customer portfolios.


MCS Requires the Specialist to coordinate calendars, schedule meetins, book rooms, manage and coordinate travel, route documents for signature, liaise with S&T leadership support staff, and otherwise ensure the full functionality of MCS Front office.


Key Job Responsibilities


  • Manage and maintain MCS Front Office staff calendars, phones, and arrange meetings and conference calls to include scheduling with other attendees, scheduling conference rooms, and off-site meetings.
  • Arrange travel for MCS Front Office staff to include domestic, international, and invitational travel.
  • Support senior staff personnel in the development of organizational goals and implementation plans.
  • Provide strategic analysis and support to the MCS Front Office staff supporting MCS outreach and strategic vision.
  • Perform routine executive-level tasks for the MCS Front Office Staff to include but not limited to scheduling, drafting internal memos, filing, intranet website maintenance, and coordinating MCS Front Office daily operations.


Required Qualifications


  • Applicants selected must be eligible to receive DHS Suitability.
  • BA/BS + 3 years of relevant experience or Master's + 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Active Top Secret clearance.
