Sql/ Powerbi Developer (Remote)

Are you a talented Database Report Developer looking for a challenging and exciting opportunity? Our client, a nationwide logistics company, is seeking an experienced individual to join their dynamic database team. As a Database Report Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing pipelines, creating reports, and streamlining database development processes for engineers. This fast-paced and process-driven environment offers an opportunity to work with a robust and complex database.

This is a contract-to-hire position, with longevity as the goal for our client as they are excited to solidify their internal IT team. Ideal candidates will have proven success working across multiple teams, be a self-starter who knows how to problem solve and have the ability to voice opinions, concerns, and needs in an environment.

As a Database Report Developer, you will be responsible for:

• Creating reports for the business
• Working closely with a small database team to develop pipelines
• Streamlining the database development process for engineers

Required:

• Be a self-starter who knows how to problem solve
• Ability to voice opinions, concerns, and needs in an environment
• Extensive experience working with MS SQL databases
• Attention to detail
• Experience writing stored procedures/ tuning stored procedures
• Proven success working across multiple teams
• Willingness to wear multiple hats within the database environment
• 2+ years experience with developing ETL pipelines
• 5+ years of database report writing experience
• Experience developing reports and visualizations within PowerBI

Preferred:

• Working in the logistics or supply chain industry
• Experience and excitement helping a company work toward improving processes and procedures on their team- we want someone who wants to be part of the solution!
• Azure experience
• Exposure and familiarity with SQL Server Service Broker
• Understanding and/or experience working on a contract-to-hire position.
