We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SQL Developer with 9+ years of expertise in SQL and extensive knowledge in DB2 to join our team. As a Senior SQL Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex SQL queries and stored procedures to support our organization's data management needs.

Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for efficient data retrieval and manipulation.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into effective SQL solutions.

- Perform database performance tuning and optimization to ensure optimal query execution and data integrity.

- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, including performance bottlenecks, data inconsistencies, and query optimization.

- Develop and maintain database schemas, tables, and views to support application development and data reporting.

- Implement and enforce database security measures to protect sensitive data.

- Conduct code reviews and provide guidance to junior developers to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.

- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and advancements in SQL and DB2 technologies.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Proven experience as a SQL Developer, with a focus on DB2.

- Strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures.

- In-depth knowledge of DB2 database management system and its features.

- Familiarity with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.

- Experience with data modeling and database design principles.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Certification in DB2 or related technologies.

- Experience with other database systems such as Oracle or SQL Server.

- Knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools.

- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
