Senior Database Developer

Applicants must reside in the U.S. in the Eastern and Central time zones.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for designing database schemas, developing database scripts, performing database deployment duties and post deployment support.
Collaborates with team members and business partners in defining, designing, developing and implementing technology solutions to improve business functions.
Oversee and execute the migration of data from legacy systems to Azure.
Write database migration scripts to migrate data from multiple legacy databases.
Monitor the system performance by performing regular tests, troubleshooting, and integrating new features.
Recommend solutions to improve new and existing database systems.
Implement recommendations for improving documentation and database development process standards.
Actively engage in process improvement initiatives.
Adhere to Agile principles and philosophies (Scrum or Kanban, as applicable) in fulfillment of the design role.
Educate staff members through training and individual support.
Requirements:
Five to seven years of experience with database design, data integration/aggregation, metadata management, database administration and performance tuning within Microsoft Azure Cloud and SQL databases.
Experience working in an Agile environment.
Excellent understanding of conceptual data models, logical data models, physical data models, domain data objects, domain information models, data architecture, and data schemas
Experience developing ETL scripts.
Database scripting experience
Strong knowledge of database structure systems and data mining.
Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
Education and Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or relevant field.
