Application Support Specialist - Sql

Looking for Application Support Specialist (1-3 years experience) for our direct client.

It has 100% remote option.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Screens, refers and diagnoses internal inquiries and work requests as they relate to usage of our internally developed software applications.

- Performs troubleshooting and diagnostic routines to identify problems relating to application software and integrations between applications.

- Troubleshoots database and data issues and makes recommendations for resolution.

- Writes SQL data fixes for one-off database issues.

- Writes SQL data extracts for one-off data requests.

- Guides staff or clients through a series of actions, over the telephone, to help set up systems or resolve issues.

- Provides support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.

- Supports the roll-out of new applications and new application features.

- Creates new users' accounts and profiles and resolves password issues.

- Updates the user accounts for role changes and access terminations.

- Documents application fixes to target support issues via root cause elimination.

- Tests and evaluates new application features.

- Performs other, related duties as assigned. These are duties that may not be specifically listed in this description, but which are within the general nature typically associated with the employees level of work.

Requirements:

-1-3 years of experience in a decentralized environment

-Ability and desire to learn the technical and business aspects of several enterprise applications

-Someone who wants to work on a team and values sharing the knowledge they acquire

-Ability to write basic SQL queries

-Solid communications

- Knowledge of IT support principles and practices including: telephony, desktop, system, database and software support.

-Ability to work in an agile environment.

-Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail.

-Must be able to prioritize, stay focused and handle multiple, diverse responsibilities.
