Procure materials and services for government and commercial programs with a focus in Complex Space requirements including but not limited to chemicals, services, modified COTS, SCD’s, etc.

Essential Functions:

• Evaluates bids and selects suppliers based on price, delivery, quality, and service to obtain best overall value for L3Harris.
• Confers with suppliers to determine factors that affect competitive total cost of ownership consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules. Evaluate root cause and corrective action with suppliers on late delivery performance.
• Meets established goals, objectives, and performance metrics and solves problems of increased scope and complexity where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
• Participate on projects/teams as assigned.
• Develop and manage RFQ/RFP process, negotiate agreements and manage/administer the contract for medium to complex sourcing requirements.
• Interprets FAR/DFAR/ITAR laws, rules and regulations regarding import/export control certifications and licenses.
• Tracks all Purchase Orders through reports, works AP matched exceptions, open commitments, receiving discrepancies, returns, supplier discrepancies, and problem reports/supplier corrective action responses. Interfaces with receiving and accounting to resolve issues.
• Provides timely follow up on all awards through completion of order using system reports to status for program teams.
• Builds stable working relationships with manufacturing, quality engineers, material management and program office regarding procurement demands by early involvement with programs and suppliers to determine risk mitigation actions for critical path parts.
• Acts as a primary L3Harris point of contact to manage overall relationships with critical suppliers to facilitate long-term partnerships.

Qualifications:

• Previous Procurement experience
• Experience in procuring complex electronics to drawings/specifications
• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior procurement experience.

• PC skills in MS office, with Word and Excel formats.
• Excellent communication and written skills.
• Nice to have: working knowledge of FAR/DFAR/ITAR requirements.

• Negotiation and follow-up skills.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $72,000 - $96,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
