About This Role


We are seeking a Specialist, Mobility & Social Impact Programs, to join our team at the Ford Motor Company Fund. In this role, you will be working at the intersection of mobility, technology, innovation, and philanthropy. This role is key to how the Ford Motor Company Fund actively reimagines how mobility can be the catalyst to Ford’s social impact strategies.


The Ford Motor Company Fund’s mission is to partner with communities to move people forward and upward. Responsibilities


Responsibilities:


  • Manage Ford Fund’s smart mobility grantmaking system and program budgets in coordination with our finance team
  • Work efficiently with virtual collaboration applications, embrace human-centered design thinking, and design with people at the center of solutions
  • Serve as a peer leader be exemplifying attributes like entrepreneurship, energy, active listening and productivity.
  • Learn by building and create an environment of trust through vulnerability, empathy, and honest dialogue
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, mobility solutions, and business models for collaborative community problem solving
  • All other duties as assigned by Ford Fund team.
  • Understand community need, particularly the mobility needs in Ford Fund’s operating communities
  • Own assigned portfolios of Mobility investments and manage grantee pipeline, including evaluating grant proposals, serving as relationship liaison with grantees and managing previous grantees and key performance metric measurement.
  • Develop and establish data driven metrics and assessment methodologies for all mobility solutions and initiatives
  • Leverage your experience in mobility, transportation policy, and public-private partnerships to assist in refining Ford’s unique value proposition in the mobility landscape


Qualifications


Basic Qualifications:


  • Ability to handle multiple major priorities during a significant strategy transformation
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Passion and understanding of the intersection of philanthropy, social impact and mobility
  • 3+ years of foundation, nonprofit, mobility, transportation policy, emerging technology, or startup experience
  • Ability to develop and execute workplans to deliver mobility initiatives with limited management oversight
  • Highest level of professional and personal integrity


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with local and/or national mobility organizations, corporate philanthropy, or institutional foundations
  • Operational or program design experience within external community engagement in underserved communities
  • A forward-looking vision and ability to anticipate and leverage emerging technologies in mobility / philanthropy
  • Extraordinary written and verbal communication skills to support and develop management proposals, media interviews, and public presentations
  • Master’s Degree
  • Human centered design thinking experience with expertise in social impact and program design
  • Experience in data analytics with the ability to communicate and influence through data set trends and story telling
  • Strong knowledge of public-private-philanthropic mobility partnership landscape including transportation policy and initiatives
  • Strong business acumen with the desire to become a thought leader in mobility and philanthropy
  • Experience developing and implementing mobility initiatives or partnerships
  • Knowledge or experience related to mobility startups, mobility innovation, or mobility incubation hubs
  • 5+ years of foundation, nonprofit, mobility, transportation policy, emerging technology, or startup experience
  • Comfortable escalating issues while maintaining positive relationships
  • White space, undefined project management experience ground in strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills
