Job Description
Able to provide Rosewood Miramar Beach guests with a unique and outstanding locker room/spa experience. Provide effective and efficient guest service. Provide members/guests with extensive knowledge of the spa to enhance their visit and promote Sense Spa members /guests with the highest level of services to increase sales and demand repeat business.
 Essential Responsibilities
  • Follow Spa opening procedures.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental Rosewood policies/service procedures/standards.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.  Use equipment only as intended.
  • Report working in an appropriate uniform, on time, and well-groomed according to Rosewood Miramar Beach guidelines.
  • Assist guests in the following areas:
  • Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, however busy and at whatever time of day.
  • Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
  • Guest Service
a. Spa, dining, and other reservations and information.b. Locker key administrationc. Salon and Fitness roomsd. Towels, robes, sandals, and amenities maintenance.
  • The follow-up to the spa director on all comments, concerns, and suggestions made by associates and Rosewood Miramar Beach members and guests.
  • Model and reinforce all standards and policies The Spa at Rosewood Miramar Beach sets.
  • All other duties as required.
  • Responsible for adhering to Rosewood Miramar Beach employee handbook guidelines and The Spa Policy/Procedure manual.
  • Responsible for maintaining helpful, cooperative relations with co-workers.
  • Attend all spas’ training sessions on a consistent and regular basis.
  • Follow the spa attendant’s procedures in the spa policy/procedure manual.
  • Responsible for adhering to Rosewood Miramar Beach's core values.
  • Receive and manage all locker room supplies and equipment.
  • Responsible for assisting, establishing, and maintaining the standard of excellence in professional image and service.
  • Provide updates and accurate information regarding spa policy and supplemental information, increasing the associates’ knowledge base and effectiveness.
  • Attend all scheduled associate meetings.
  • Continually strive to improve the procedures at the spa reception desk.
  • Explain and promote all spa facilities, services, and activities.
  • Knowledgeable in all aspects of spa services, programming, and reservations.
Requirements
  • Carry out any reasonable requests made by the manager and other management team members in a timely manner.
  • Be proactive, ask questions, and work with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of SpaSoft is an asset.
  • Perform work with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous manner whilst at work.
  • Attend and complete the resort’s required training sessions and programs.
  • Attend and participate in hotel and departmental meetings and briefings.
  • Ensure guest and employee privacy and security by respecting confidential information.
  • Be known for being honest, reliable, confidential, and trustworthy.
Experience:                   Previous experience in a luxury spa environment, preferably within a luxury or ultra-luxury hotel.  A background in fitness education and/or health-related discipline is an asset.
 Education:                      High school diploma, diploma or degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience with a hospitality background.
 General Skills: Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy; prioritize, organize, and follow up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain the confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
 Technical Skills:            Knowledge of telephone systems; ability to suggestively sell; ability to input and access information in the property management system/computers; knowledge of computer systems including Microsoft Office suite.
 Language:                     Required to speak, read and write English and do basic mathematics.  Fluency in other languages is a plus.
 Physical Requirements:Able to endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary throughout work periods, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding.
The pay scale for this position is between $18.04 and $18.54/hour plus retail commissions. This is the pay range for this position that the Hotel reasonably expects to pay.
