Summary
We are seeking an experienced Logistics Sourcing Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading sourcing activities across the organization, negotiating contracts, and developing supplier relationships. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of supply chain management, strategic sourcing, and procurement processes. As a Category Manager on the Sourcing team, you should have an enterprise mindset, possess highly developed business background, and be a strong communicator who is able to establish lasting relationships with business leaders as well as internal and external stakeholders.
We are seeking an experienced Logistics Sourcing Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading sourcing activities across the organization, negotiating contracts, and developing supplier relationships. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of supply chain management, strategic sourcing, and procurement processes. As a Category Manager on the Sourcing team, you should have an enterprise mindset, possess highly developed business background, and be a strong communicator who is able to establish lasting relationships with business leaders as well as internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure best possible value while mitigating risks.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to promote collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and procedures, as well as legal and regulatory requirements.
- Manage supplier risk and ensure continuity of supply through effective supplier management strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure supplier performance meets or exceeds expectations, and resolve any performance-related issues as needed.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities, stay current with industry trends, and drive continuous improvement.
- Analyze and report on supply chain metrics to measure supplier performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for Logistics related categories of spend across the organization, including but not limited to indirect goods and services supporting the Logistics and Transportation teams.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop and manage supplier relationships.
- Experience with procurement and ERP systems, such as Ariba, Jaggaer or SAP is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in a distribution environment.
