Job Description

Description:

The Site Manager will directly and indirectly manage an hourly workforce of 30 to 55+ employees with assistance from the supervisory staff and team leads. The Site Manager will report directly to the Associate Director. Functions include but are not limited to, staff management, daily operations planning, sort configuration optimization, operational metric reporting, and liaison between operation and Logistics transportation and USPS departments.


Duties/Responsibilities:

Responsible for all further processed operation which includes production, scheduling and to ensure compliance with the company’s standards and regulatory requirements.

Ability to build a solid team of Powerhouse associates. Must be able to interview, hire, train and develop associates to reach their maximum career potential.

Evaluate hiring needs and coordinate staffing issues to ensure maximum productivity.

Understand and optimize labor distribution; maintain and manage weekly staffing levels and schedule efficiently.

Work closely with the Logistics Manager to promote clear communication and ensure smooth pick-ups and deliveries.

Proactive and initiative contact with supervisors to discuss solutions to possible conflicts or challenges.

License and train employees on machinery

Mentoring and motivating team members, providing training and development to optimize their performance and personal growth.

Support positive employee engagement including valuing differences, fostering collaboration and being a champion of company policies and procedures, which support these goals.

Communicating performance goals, standards and expectations to team members, recognizing and rewarding individual and team accomplishments and counseling/disciplining performance problems.

Collect and report all daily operational metrics.

Ability to work with all levels of management and team members to resolve issues affecting the daily operations in an efficient and timely manner to obtain the optimum results possible.

Responsible for adhering to the safeguarding of PHI, HITECH, Data and Security in Operations and Associate team members.

Responsible for securing facility and daily close out procedures.

Responsible for complying with company social and sustainability values: clean and environmentally friendly workplace and products, encourage associate well-being and career development by providing engaged leadership and sharing available resources with associates.

Must be able to identify and address any maintenance or sanitation issue immediately.

All other job duties as assigned.


Required Skills/Abilities:

Must be able to efficiently work in a challenging fast paced environment with excellence demonstrating leadership ability to support the operations staff.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work quickly while maintaining a high priority to the safety of our workforce.

Ability to work flexible schedule depending on the operational needs.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills along with computer skills (MS Word and Excel).

Must be a team player with excellent people and organizational skills.

Must be able to motivate, coach, train, reward, and recognize employees.

Education and Experience:

Associate’s Degree or Technical Degree is required.

5 years of experience in Production Operations Management in the printing industry or similar.

Must be knowledgeable in OSHA and Fire safety regulations.

Demonstrated leadership abilities.


Physical Requirements:

Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Job requires workers to lift up to 60 lbs. must be able to: step, climb, balance, squat, kneel, bend and reach above shoulders as needed.
