What Will I be Doing?

The Solution Architect is responsible for creating a comprehensive architecture for HGV software solutions and providing strategic direction throughout the development process. The Solutions Architect will create solutions that fit into the enterprise architecture from technical, business, user, and other perspectives, with an eye for both the near term and the long-term enterprise architecture strategy.

The ideal Solution Architect has the following characteristics:

• Ability to determine solution options and drive team to making architectural decisions
• Evaluate project constraints to find alternatives, alleviate risks, and perform re-engineering if required
• Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, product managers, engineers, and others to gather requirements and create effective technical solutions
• Collaborate with peers to define architecture standards and processes and facilitate knowledge sharing
• Create and document solutions with adherence to architectural standards
• Work with multiple agile development teams to architect solutions that match business requirements and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture strategy
• Continuously research emerging technologies, participate in Proof-of-Concept activities to evaluate technology, and make recommendations for technology adoption into the enterprise

What Are We Looking For:

• 7+ years software engineering and architecture
• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience using .NET/C#, Java, or other languages
• Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, or other technical field; equivalent work experience will be considered
