Client:An Aerospace Company

Location:Aurora CO

Duration:12+ Months with possibility of Contract To Hire


Clearance: Active TS/SCI Clearance required

Description

  • Your efforts will have a direct impact on the operation of new state of the art satellites that perform intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance for multiple customers.
  • As a Software Engineer, you have the opportunity to directly impact the world around you and contribute to classified programs and technologies you are passionate about.
  • In this role you will develop software for cutting edge satellite ground systems with space network ground segments and users around the world.
  • You will gain experience with the full software lifecycle including design, development, test, delivery, and maintenance.

  • Our programs follow modern DevSecOps development practices and utilize Agile frameworks.
  • In addition, you will be exposed to various technologies and techniques including Multi-Tiered Architectures, Amazon Web Services, Geospatial Visualization Tools, Digital Engineering, and Automation Frameworks that support advanced spacecraft missions.

Required Skills

  • Strong problem solving and analytical abilities
  • Understanding of Software Engineering processes and best practices.
  • An active and in-scope TS/SCI US security clearance
  • Strong coding ability using Java, C/C++, or similar programming languages. Heavy focus on Java experience.
  • Strong experience with Linux/Unixa and Shell scripting

Education

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience or 3+ year with a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field

Years of Experience

  • Mid career level. 5+ years of software engineering experience or 3+ year with a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field


Desired Skill Sets:

  • Experience with DevOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Development
  • Strong problem solving and analytical abilities.
  • Experience with one or more areas of satellite ground system software such as mission management, planning and scheduling, command and telemetry, satellite operations, or flight dynamics models
  • Experience with Agile development
  • Proficiency in object-oriented design
  • Signals processing and related systems knowledge or experience
