Social Worker Jobs

A Social Worker, is responsible for managing multiple clients and their individual needs.

Responsibilities

Their duties include meeting with clients, foster family, and state team members. You must have strong verbal and written communication skills, both to provide understandable support and plans to their families and to listen carefully to understand their issues. You must be patient talking to clients and their families and know how to calm them down and solve their problems. It is important to have empathy to show the client they understand their issue and are working to help them.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work
• Ability to make psychosocial assessments and develop and implement care plans
• Knowledge of specific software programs used within your organization
• Ability to provide after-hours service as needed
• 2+ years of social work experience
• Excellent listening and communication skills
