Help Wanted: Volunteer Social Media Outreach Assistant

Going Coastal, a small environmental nonprofit, is seeking a dedicated volunteer to assist us in simplifying the process of building and managing our social media presence. As a nonprofit organization focused on environmental conservation, we rely heavily on social media platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn to engage with our community, attract donors, and recruit volunteers.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the website updating team to ensure a strong and consistent online presence.
• Assist in tracking and analyzing the performance of social media content, adjusting strategies as needed.
• Develop and implement strategies to build subscribers, engage individual supporters, and attract potential donors.
• Create, manage, and help grow Going Coastal's social media presence across various platforms.
• Explore opportunities to monetize content and interact with supporters effectively.
• Collaborate with the team to generate creative ideas and solutions for effective social media campaigns.
• Identify social media trends and best practices to maximize our reach and engagement.

Requirements:

• Passion for environmental conservation and a strong commitment to the mission of Going Coastal.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
• Experience in creating and managing engaging social media content.
• Knowledge of social media analytics tools and the ability to interpret data to improve performance.
• Proficiency in using social media platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and contribute creative ideas.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
