WDEA Works Portland provides Disability Employment Services (DES), Workforce Australia’s Transition to Work, employment services, the NDIS service of School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES) and Training in First Aid, Early Childhood Education and Care, Disability and Aged Care.

This role will also oversee the operations of the Mount Gambier site and require regular onsite leadership. WDEA Works Mount Gambier provides Disability Employment Services (DES) and the NDIS service of School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES).

This position is an integral part of the leadership team here at WDEA Works and is instrumental in leading a highly engaged, passionate, and motivated team so we can continue to ensure that our services are delivered with a clear client focus, ensuring adherence to best practise, and contributing to sustainable growth.

Desired Skills And Experience

To be successful in the role, you will possess:

• General computer literacy and proficiency in MS Windows, MS Word, and Internet programs.
• Proven skills and experience in managing targets driven by performance.
• Ability to work collaboratively with individuals and groups while focusing on achieving business targets and outcomes.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including negotiation and liaison skills, and the ability to work in partnership with clients to assess their needs and develop strategies to meet them.
• Experience in people management and development, including recruitment, performance management and performance reviews.
• In-depth knowledge of employment services, the relevant contractual requirements and the current labour market.
• High level of professionalism in organising work and time management. Ability to prioritise tasks and exercise initiative and creativity in achieving desired outcomes for clients and WDEA Works.
• A current Victorian Driver's licence is essential.
• Proven skills and experience in managing staff and providing leadership.
• Understanding the Employment Services Deed (DES and TtW) compliance requirements, including evidence supporting claims, placement, and outcomes.
