As a School Psychologist at Spindle in Temecula, CA, you will play a vital role in promoting the academic, social, and emotional well-being of our students. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of activities aimed at enhancing the overall educational experience and fostering a safe and inclusive school environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning to identify learning and developmental challenges.

Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans for students with special needs, ensuring they receive appropriate support and accommodations.

Crisis Intervention: Provide crisis intervention and support to students experiencing emotional or behavioral crises, and work closely with the school's crisis response team.

Consultation: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to provide consultation and guidance on issues related to student behavior, learning, and mental health.

Preventive Programs: Develop and implement preventive programs to address issues such as bullying, substance abuse, and mental health awareness, fostering a safe and positive school culture.

Data Analysis: Analyze data related to student performance, behavior, and social-emotional well-being to inform decision-making and improve educational outcomes.

Professional Development: Stay current with research and best practices in the field of school psychology and participate in ongoing professional development activities.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and consultations in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
• Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
• Knowledge of relevant federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to special education and student services.
• California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential in School Psychology.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, and other school professionals.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
