Job Description
Position: Shipping & Receiving Assistant


Location/s: Ashland, VA


Duration: Contract to Hire (Possible to convert after 90 days depending on performance and needs)


Pay Rate: $15.00 - $18.00/hr. (Depending on experience)


Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Mon-Fri), 10 hours/day and Saturdays as required

Seeking for a Shipping & Receiving Assistant operating Forklift and maintaining storage yard


Responsibilities:


  • Assist Assembly Department in Crane shipping preparation
  • Show up to work on time every day
  • Assist Paint Department in the preparation of Crane painting
  • Organize and clean up the storage yard
  • Assist in all aspects Shipping & Receiving Department
Requirements:


  • Must be able to operate a forklift
  • Able to work safely in a Heavy Industrial environment
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
Pre-Employment Requirements:


  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test (10 panels for recreational drugs and opiates)
  • Must pass a criminal background check (7-year felony + sex offender)
  • Applicants for employment must be a U.S. Citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
